My name is Stormy LaRoche and I am fortunate to be both the school nurse and an administrator at Hampshire Country School.
I am currently in my 11th year at Hampshire Country School and cannot imagine myself dedicating my career to a greater place or cause - the education and support of frequently misunderstood neurodivergent students in a beautiful rural setting surrounded by colleagues who share a common vision and purpose.
I joined HCS in early 2014 after spending the first few years of my nursing career working in both long-term care facilities and as a pediatric home care nurse. Prior to nursing I spent 8 years working in customer service for a major medical device manufacturer.
I obtained my Practical Nursing diploma from Fortis College in Westerville, Ohio in 2011, and a BA in General Studies with a concentration in Business Management from Southern New Hampshire University in 2021. I hold current certifications in both Autism and Student Mental Health from IBCESS. I am also a certified Comprehensive Sexual Health educator and teach HCS’s puberty and sexual health education classes alongside Andrea Rice.
I am a New Hampshire native and live in the nearby town of Swanzey with my husband and our two golden retrievers. When not on campus, I can be found antiquing, vacationing in the White Mountains or at the New Hampshire seacoast, or at home knitting or embroidering next to a strong cup of coffee.
Fun fact: I am a former boarding school student myself; I attended Northfield Mount Hermon school in Northfield, Massachusetts for my freshman and sophomore years of high school. |
