Application process

Thank you for considering HCS for your son. We look forward to getting to know him and your family and finding out if HCS may be a good match for him for our full-year and/or summer programs.

Although we have a rolling admissions policy and consider applications year-round, the best time to enroll is in September at the start of the new school year. We do accept mid-year applications if there is a vacancy that will fit a particular student. Should you have any questions during the application process, please contact the Admissions Office.

STEP 2 - application review

Once the Admissions Committee receives and reviews all of the application documents that parents submit, then an admissions interview is scheduled if we feel we are able to provide a program to meet the applicant’s needs.

STEP 3 - APPLICANT & FAMILY INTERVIEW

Applicants are required to participate in an on-campus interview as part of the admissions process. Interviews last approximately 3 hours, which gives the applicant and his parents time to have a tour and experience HCS. During the interview, the applicant and his parents meet with members of our Admissions Committee, which may include the Head of School, Admissions Advisor, Dean of Academics & Programs, and Residential Life Director.

STEP 4 - ADMISSIONS DECISION

Once the interview has concluded, the Admissions Committee will meet to discuss the application and educational options moving forward. Parents are contacted within a few days of the interview to discuss the admissions decision.
